This hands-on method enhances retention and helps children build essential academic and life skills.

Personalized learning is key to addressing the unique needs of each child. Children with autism, ADHD, or other learning differences often require teaching methods that break down complex information into manageable steps. The DENSING Method uses customized materials and a step-by-step approach, allowing children to learn at their own pace. Patience and consistent repetition are crucial to building confidence and independence over time. With ongoing support and practice, children develop the skills they need for lasting success.

Involving your child in creating their own learning materials makes the process more relevant and engaging. When a child works with hands-on materials that match their interests and needs, they develop a deeper connection to what they’re learning. This approach leads to better retention, greater confidence, and a love for learning.

The DENSING Method draws on the principles of Maria Montessori’s hands-on approach, which focuses on individualized learning and self-directed engagement. The Montessori philosophy emphasizes learning through doing, which is integrated into the DENSING Method’s approach. By combining Montessori-inspired methods with personalized learning materials, the DENSING Method provides a powerful tool for helping neurodivergent children build confidence, self-regulation, and life skills.
Practical Advice for Creating Learning Materials
Read through the instructions ahead of time to buy any supplies you need. Also, consider how long you think it will take you and your child or your group of students to work on the material. While some materials can be made in less than 20 minutes, others may be easier to complete over several days. With each material, invite your students to help as much as possible. Remember, go at the child’s pace to make the most of their ability to concentrate and enjoy the process.
